PH42361: EXEC CICS ASSIGN COMMAND DOES NOT RETURN THE TNADDR AND TNPORT FOR A RDO DEFINED TERMINAL.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• We want to use the ASSIGN api to retrieve the IP and port
  address.
  When the the terminal is autoinstalled, we have the correct
  result.
  CECI ASSIGN :
  <,TNAddr(,'9.123.45.67'
  <,TNIpfamily(,+0000000300,),>
  <,TNPort(,+0000012345,),>
  But with statically defined terminal we have no result.

  *                      installed using RDO.                    *

  EXEC CICS ASSIGN returns the correct TNADDR, TNPORT and
  TNIPFAMILY values for an autoinstalled TN3270 terminal.
  However, if the same terminal is defined and installed using
  RDO then TNADDR contains blanks, TNPORT is zero and TNIPFAMILY
  is NOTAPPLIC.
  

Problem conclusion

• CICS is changed to return the correct values for EXEC CICS
  ASSIGN TNADDR, TNPORT and TNIPFAMILY regardless of whether a
  TN3270 terminal is autoinstalled or installed using RDO.
  
  The DFHZC3461 message for a RDO installed terminal will now also
  include this information.
