• IMS Administration Tool functional enhancement for specifying
  SMS class to IMS directory / BSDS ( bootstrap dataset ) backup

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: IMS directory/BSDS backup and restore   *
  *                      enhancement - SMS class support.        *
  *                      You can specify the SMS class for       *
  *                      backup and restore data sets.           *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
  ****************************************************************
  Before this APAR, it was impossible to specify the SMS class for
  backup and restore data sets. The backup data set was
  created with the SMS storage class of IMS directory/BSDS
  data sets, and the restore data set was created with the SMS
  storage class of the backup data set.
  
  After applying this APAR, you can specify the SMS class. IMS
  Administration Tool uses the SMS class specifications as
  follows:
  
  - Backup: Creates backup data sets using the high-level
    qualifier (HLQ) and the SMS class specifications.
  - Restore: If the discovery of restore data sets fails and
    IMS Administration Tool cannot find restore data sets,
    creates IMS data sets using the SMS class specifications.
  
  The enhancement is being implemented as a result of RFE 147776.
