Error description

• Customer is performing COMPARE of live DB2 data. He is using a
  pre-allocated COMPARE file.
  The process may abort with the following SystemError:

Local fix

Problem summary

  Optim APAR PH40546 introduced checks for corrupted EXTRACT
  files. The check may trigger incorrect error messages in
  COMPARE scenarios while comparing live data (not EXTRACT
  file(s)) and using a small pre-allocated COMPARE file which
  needs to be extended.
  The logic for setting up Optim release 1.7 conversion services
  is flawed and may lead to an ABEND S0C4 in certain scenarios.
  

Problem conclusion

• Optim COMPARE processing logic will be corrected to avoid
  erroneous message and possibly an ABEND S0C4.
