• DFH5519 E COMMAND NOT EXECUTED. DSNAME VALUE HAS BEEN IGNORED
  BECAUSE IT CONTAINED AN INVALID '&'.
  
  For context, customers have coded FILE entries to add files to
  our CSD, similar to the example below:

  The symbol &FAHLQ. (or other symbol bounded by & and .) is
  resolved within CICS at runtime based upon the environment. This
  allows customers to have portable FILE entries across our SDLC,
  and has been working in this way for at least 10 years.
  Customers depend upon this functionality in order to manage our
  FCT entries.

  The ampersand character should be permitted if used as part of
  the DSNAME of an RDO FILE definition, but is being rejected as
  invalid, when using both the CICS transaction CEDA and the batch
  program DFHCSDUP.
  

Problem conclusion

• DFHCUCAN has been amended to allow use of the ampersand
  character.
