  * DFSMTCNT as an inputting terminal.                           *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
  * AbendU0757 subcode001 in module DFSQMGR0 at label QMGENT4B.  *
  * PH40655 was to fix this problem, but its PTF UI77821 became  *
  * corrupted during final ship processing and is uninstallable. *
  * This APAR replaces PH40655.                                  *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  * INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF                      *
  ****************************************************************
  The failing scenario is as follows:
  1. A transaction was entered via a non-IBM tool which
  established DFSMTCNT as an inputting terminal.
  2. If the transaction caused an abend like U3047 in this
  case, the syncpoint processor would request DFS555I message
  to be sent to the MTO and the inputting terminal.
  3. During the process sending the DFS555I to the inputting
  terminal as a system CNT, DFSCLMR0 detected QTPRRN field
  was non-zeroed and attempted to cancel the message. This
  led to abendu0757 subcode001. The save area flow was
  DFSTMS00, DFSFXC30, DFSSYI40, DFSFXC40, ABENDMSG,
  DFSCLMR0, UNKNOWN, CLMRCANC, DFSPREQ0, DFSQMGR0.
  
  DFSMTCNT is the name of an internal system logical
  terminal (LTERM) for CMTI itask's CNT control block.
  Any message destined to this LTERM is unexpected
  and unsupported.
  
  Note: APAR PH40655/PTF UI77821 was originally taken to fix the
  reported problem.  A tooling issue during the final ship of PTF
  UI77821 corrupted the PTF such that it would not install (link
  edit errors occurred during apply).  PTF UI77821 is marked PE
  and is SUPed by this APAR, which is otherwise identical to the
  original.
  

Problem conclusion

• DFSCLMR0 is enhanced to detect and suppress a DFS message
  destined to DFSMTCNT.
