Error description

  • Using line command DIS on panel ADB2Z2U2 ('Display/Terminate
    Utilities') on a utility with a utilid that contains lower case
    letters causes message DSNU112I 'NO AUTHORIZED UTILITY FOUND FOR
    UTILID = utility name' (with the utility name in upper case) to
    appear on panel ADB2DB2O ('Browse DB2 Command Output'), and no
    information on the utility is displayed. A DIS UTIL("asterisk")
    command does produce the DSNU100I message displaying the
    information on the utility.
    

Local fix

  • On panel ADB2DB2O ('Browse DB2 Command Output'), we show the
    command we are processing, and it is editable.  After the
    initial command fails, the user can edit the command and add
    single quotes around the entire utilid (not just the
    lower case letters).  They can then hit enter and the
    information will show.

    To display a stopped utility, the user specifies option Z and
    then option 2U. On the subsequent panel ADB2Z2U2, the user
    issues a DIS line command on a utility that has lowercase
    letters in the UTILID. The resulting output includes the
    following messages:
    
    DSNU112I  !DC1Q DSNUGDIS - NO AUTHORIZED UTILITY FOUND FOR
    UTILID = (utiiity id)
    

Problem conclusion

  • The problem has been resolved.
