PH41150: REORG WITH ALTER TABLE ADD COLUMN SHOULD BE GENERATED WITHOUT PROFILE STATS

Error description

• When Profile Stats is enabled, ALTER TABLE ADD COLUMN's Reorg
  should not have USE PROFILE as in this case it is not valid.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When the CM batch parameter             *
  *                      UTIL_REORG_STATISTICS_USE_PROFILE is    *
  *                      set to 'Y' and a column with profile    *
  *                      statistics is dropped by using an ALTER *
  *                      operation, the generated REORG          *
  *                      statement still contains USE PROFILE    *
  *                      even though it is not valid.            *
  ****************************************************************
  When UTIL_REORG_STATISTICS_USE_PROFILE is set to 'Y' and a
  column with profile statistics is dropped by using an ALTER
  operation, the resulting REORG statement contains USE PROFILE,
  which causes the WSL to fail. Because the column associated with
  the profile is dropped, the USE PROFILE option is not valid.
  Dropping the column with the profile statistics automatically
  drops the column from the profile and updates it. Db2 Admin Tool
  should not include USE PROFILE in the REORG statement even if
  UTIL_REORG_STATISTICS_USE_PROFILE is set to 'Y' as it is not
  valid in this case.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been resolved.
