Error description

  • When trying to CEDA install a new bundle we sometimes get an
    error :
Initially there was a message :
DFHML0603 .. CEDA JSONTRANSFRM bunname for BUNDLE bunname
cannot be installed as a duplicate JSONTRANSFRM resource
     with the same name exists.
Later on, during a CICS restart we got abend AAM4, for Task III
where CICS went down and failed to restart.
Bundles, including above Bundle bunname, were removed from the
    CSD.
Then a subsequent CEDA INSTALL BUNDLE still failed AAM4.
    However CICS came up.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: AAM4 abend installing bundles *
    *                      containing a JSONTRANSFRM.              *
    ****************************************************************
A bundle is installed into CICS that contains a JSONTRANSFRM.
The jsbind file within the bundle has corrupt XML. When CICS
attempts to parse the file an exception is returned. The
exception is not correctly handled and so causes an AAM4 abend.

If the bundle is installed during CICS startup as part of Group
list install (GRPLIST) then the CICS region will fail with a
    DFHPC0401 message.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHMLJS has been updated to correctly handle an exception when
    parsing XML.
