Error description

  • Description:
    
    The end user is unable to download a file from the previous
    reporting period if that file has been deleted from the current
    reporting period.  This only happens in the Task Focused UI.
    
    The user will get an error {"code":400,"text":"Bad
    Request","message":"The requested object was not
    found.","data":"","status":"BAD_REQUEST","timestamp":"2021-09-08

    OP-03100","relatedPropertyId":null,"relatedId":null, "error":
    "error"}
    
    Prerequisites:
    
    OP 8.2.0.2
    This writeup will use SOXIssue but this will happen for any/all
    object types
    
    1.	Log into OpenPages as the Administrator
    2.	Create a view for SOXIssue that includes a grid relationship
    for File
    a.	Click on ?Open Administration Menu? -> Solution Configuration
    -> Views
    b.	Click ?New View +?
    c.	Check ?Use as default view for this object type for all
    profiles?
    d.	Object Type = Issue
    e.	Type = Task
    f.	Copy from view = Detail (to ensure some fields are present)
    g.	Click ?Create?
    h.	Add a section to the view
    i.	Drag a ?Grid? Relationship field to the section
    j.	Relationship Type = Children
    k.	Object Type = File
    l.	Click on ?Add Action? -> Delete
    m.	Provide a name -> Click ?Done?
    n.	Click ?Done?
    o.	Click ?Publish?
    3.	Create the Hierarchy
    a.	Click on ?Open Primary Menu? -> Organization -> Business
    Entities
    b.	Click on ?New +?, fill in required fields and click ?Save?
    c.	Click on ?Open Primary Menu? -> Remediation -> Issues
    d.	Click on ?New +?, fill in required fields, select the BE
    above as the parent BE
    e.	Click ?Save?
    f.	In the Issue Task View click on ?Add/Update? in the Grid
    g.	Select the file and click ?Upload?
    4.	Enable System Admin Mode
    a.	Click on ?Open Administration Menu? -> Enable System Admin
    Mode -> Enable
    5.	Create a new Reporting Period
    a.	Click on ?Open Administration Menu? -> Reporting Periods ->
    Reporting Period
    b.	Click on ?New Finalized?
    c.	Provide a name and click ?Create?
    6.	Disable System Admin Mode
    a.	Click on ?Open Administration Menu? -> Disable System Admin
    Mode -> Disable
    7.	Delete the file attachment from the Issue
    a.	Click on ?Open Primary Menu? -> Remediation -> Issues
    b.	Select the issue created above
    c.	Scroll to the Files grid view
    d.	Put a check mark next to the uploaded file and click ?Delete
    File? (this button will be named whatever the ?action? is named
    in the view)
    e.	Click ?Delete? to confirm
    f.	Verify the file is no longer present
    
    Steps to Reproduce:
    
    1.	Log into OpenPages as the Administrator
    2.	Switch to the past reporting period
    a.	Click ?Open User Menu? -> Change Reporting Period
    b.	Select the reporting period you created above -> Click ?Save?
    3.	Navigate to the Issue object record and try to download the
    file
    a.	Click on ?Open Primary Menu? -> Remediation -> Issues
    b.	Select the Issue record created previously
    c.	Scroll to the File grid view
    d.	Click the ?download? button next to the file name
    e.	Note the error message
    

Local fix

  • Switch to the standard UI and download the file from the
    previous reporting period
