Error description

  • When using File Manager Db2 to extract data using the DBX
    function, a SOC4 abend is received when using a large SQL select
    statement to be processed via the SQLDD statement.

Problem summary

    *                      the SQLDD=ddname parameter that is      *
    *                      greater than 64K.                       *

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF provided.                      *

    Problem caused by the size of the SQL statement.
    

Problem conclusion

  • FM/Db2 has been modified to ensure that the Export Batch Command
    can process a very large SQL statement exceeding 64K.
