Error description

• This APAR enhances the ACB reload functionality in an IMS
  Managed ACB environment.
  When HP Sysgen Tools first provided the ACB reload functionality
  in the IMS Managed ACB environment, when the IMPORT command was
  issued to activate pending PSBs and DBDs in the IMS Directory
  Staging Data Set, IMS activated all PSBs and DBDs. Therefore,
  ACB Reload Process 3 "IMS Managed ACBs Activate", which uses the
  IMPORT command, also activated all PSBs and DBDs in the IMS
  Directory Staging Data Set.
  After that time, IMS added the NAME keyword and NOCHECK option
  to the IMPORT command so that specific PSBs and DBDs can be
  activated. Therefore, this APAR adopts these IMS changes and
  changes the specification so that only PSBs and DBDs specified
  in the resource update list is activated when ACB Reload Process
  3 "IMS Managed ACBs Activate" is used.

  By using the NAME keyword and the NOCHECK option of the IMPORT
  DEFN SOURCE(CATALOG) command, this APAR provides the following
  enhancements on reloading ACBs in an IMS-managed ACBs
  environment:
  1. You can import one or more DBDs or PSBs or both in according
  to the name specified by resource update list instead of
  importing all DBDs and PSBs from the staging directory
  as before.
  2. You can import changed DBD members with no associated PSB
  members that are rebuilt by using the DFS3UACB utility with
  BLDPSB=NO or by using DDL ALTER.
  Please note that IMS V14 does not provide the NAME keyword and
  the NOCHECK option of the IMPORT DEFN SOURCE(CATALOG) command,
  so you will not be able to benefit from these enhancements even
  if you apply this APAR.
  In addition, the restriction on the use of the IMS Managed ACBs
  Activate method, "If an IMS system that is configured as
  ACBSHR=Y is included in the target group, you cannot select
  option 3 for the Process field", is obsolete by applying this
  APAR.
