Error description

  • When building the IMS PA Index record, record segment sizes are
checked to ensure that the completed record will not exceed
32Kb. If so, the segment(s) in question are omitted and a bit is
set in ErrFlag2 to indicate the record has been truncated. This
check was not being done in the case of attached IMS x'67FF'
Deadlock records, which are also extracted in the IMS PA Index
record, resulting in a record exceeding 32Kb.

When building the IMS PA Index record, record segment sizes

Problem conclusion


    

  • Check that any attached IMS x'67FF' Deadlock records will
not cause the Index record to exceed 32Kb, if so, omit
those records and set ErrFlag2 to indicate that the Index
record has been truncated.
