PH39569: ACTIVATE V12R1M510 SUCCEEDED EVEN DSNTIJPE RETURNED ROWS IN REPORT08 AND CUSTOMER DIDN'T REBIND THEM BEFORE ACTIVATE COMMAND

Error description

• Activate Function level V12R1M510 Succeeded, although DSNTIJPE
  returned rows in report08. Customer did not rebind those
  returned packages before they issue activate V12R1M510 command.

  * 1. Activating function level V12R1M510                       *
  * succeeded even though DSNTIJPE                               *
  * returned rows in report08.                                   *
  * 2. The DSNU757I message from the                             *
  * ACTIVATE command incorrectly said                            *
  * "SEE DSNTIJPC OUTPUT" when it should                         *
  * be "SEE DSNTIJPE OUTPUT".                                    *

  * Apply corrective PTF when available                          *

  This APAR is addressing the following two issues:
  1. Activation of function level V12R1M510 failed to enforce
  that there are no recently used packages that are bound
  from older releases of Db2.
  Activating function level V12R1M510 succeeded even though
  DSNTIJPE returned rows in report08. It was because the
  criteria for the SYSPACKAGE lookup was coded incorrectly.
  2. When the ACTIVATE command found the SYSPACKAGE record,
  it generated the following text in the DSNU757I message:
    SUBSYSTEM NOT ELIGIBLE FOR FUNCTION LEVEL (V12R1M510)
    SYSPACKAGE QUERY RETURNED ROWS. SEE DSNTIJPC OUTPUT.
  "DSNTIJPC" was incorrectly listed and it should be "DSNTIJPE".
  

Problem conclusion

• Db2 code has been updated to correct the problems.
