Error description

• ABEND04E RC00C90101 DSNIDBSE ERQUAL 5006 and then
  ABEND04E RC00C90101 DSNITCUS ERQUAL 5002 during the
  rollback of an INSERT.  The rollback occurs when DB2
  detects the page is in LPL.
  Additional Symptom:
   Db2 lock timeout (DSNT376I) occurred after Db2 restart
  completed due to not-released commit duration Dbet Entry Lock.

  * ERQUAL5006, ABEND0C4 in DSNILSMG+017C2                       *
  * and ABEND04E RC00C90101 DSNITCUS                             *
  * ERQUAL5002 during the backout of an                          *
  * INSERT transaction while the space                           *
  * map page was in LPL.                                         *
  * 2. ABEND04E RC00C90101 DSNIBMOC                              *
  * ERQUAL500A or transaction timeout                            *
  * with reason code '00C9008E'X, or                             *
  * threads got hung/deadlock during the                         *
  * backout of an INSERT transaction                             *
  * while the space map page was in LPL.                         *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  * Apply corrective PTF when available                          *

  After PH28600/UI72825 was applied, during the backout of an
  INSERT transaction while the space map page was in LPL, the
  following two problems occurred:
  1. For a non-partitioned table space, a bad partition
  number was set for the DBET request to mark the pageset
  for incremental COPY. This caused abends in DSNIDBSE
  ERQUAL5006, DSNILSMG+017C2 or DSNITCUS ERQUAL5002.
  2. The COMMIT lock duration was set for the DBET request to
  mark the pageset for incremental COPY. This caused either
  the abend in DSNIBMOC ERQUAL500A or transaction timeout
  with reason code '00C9008E'X, or threads got hung/deadlock.
  

Problem conclusion

• When backing out an INSERT transaction while the space
  map page is in LPL, in order to request DBET to mark the
  pageset for incremental COPY, Db2 code is modified to:
  1. Provide DBET the correct partition information for any
  non-partitioned table space.
  2. Provide DBET the MANUAL lock duration instead of COMMIT
  lock duration.
