APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The hostname is passed as an argument to the windows WebSphere
  service. Internal code to execute diagnostic tests keys is
  invoked when the hostname contains the word "test" in the name.

  The service will fail to start and failures will occur
  starting and stopping WebSphere when the service is enabled if
  the hostname contains the string "test".
  

Problem conclusion

• The service contains internal test code. The test code
  looks for the keyword "test" to execute in test mode. The
  argument search was looking for substring matches instead of a
  complete string comparison. Code has been corrected to prevent
  substring matches.
  
  The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
