PH39168: CM BATCH GENERATED RUN JOB JCL ERROR IEFC009I WITH CLASS INCLUDED IN JOB_CARD_LINE_X PARM

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• CM batch parameter generate_job_class defaults to Y if not
  specified. If a user has CLASS specified in one of their
  job_card_line_x parameters, this will cause the keyword CLASS to
  be duplicated in the generated run job, and the following JCL
  error to occur if that job is run:
  
  IEFC009I KEYWORD CLASS IS MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE WITH KEYWORD CLASS
  ON THE JOB STATEMENT
  
  With this fix applied, Admin Tool will produce an error message
  instead of allowing the CM Batch job to run to completion.

  In a CM batch job, the user specified CLASS in one of their
  job_card_line_x parameters. Because the default for the
  generate_job_class parameter is Y (yes), the CLASS parameter was
  also generated, resulting in a duplicate CLASS parameter.
  
  With this APAR, the CM batch job will error and stop processing
  if generate_job_class parameter is Y (yes) and the CLASS
  parameter is also present in one of the job_card_line_x options.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been resolved.
