  • Direct lookup do not support container managed behavior which
prevents login modules from being used.

Direct lookups default to res-auth Application.  Without a way
to change the default value, login modules require indirect
lookups with a resource reference configured with res-auth
Container.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • For direct lookups the default value of res-auth
Application can be changed to Container by using connection
pool custom property enableContainerAuthForDirectLookups=true.
 This will allow login modules to be used with direct lookups.

The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
8.5.5.21 and 9.0.5.11. For more information, see 'Recommended
