Error description

  • In IDz v15.0 Creating an XML schema file prepending numeric
value before member name is not a supported naming convention
within cobol copybooks.  Users received an error "An error
occurred while opening Test Case Editor Reason: 1641_Product
1640_Product 1648_Product" for Cobol program when generating a
test case.

Workouround:
Add the numeric value after the member name

Problem summary

  • When the program has data items whose name begin with a numeric
character, Testcase editor cannot be opened.

Problem conclusion

  • ZUnit has been corrected so the data item name beginning with a
numeric character would be handled correctly.
