    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The cicsts:link-1.0 feature used to *
    * Link to Liberty programs stops after a *
    *                      RetryableUnavailableException occurs.   *
    ****************************************************************
    A workload is running that causes many EXEC CICS LINK commands
    to be issued to call Java programs running in a Liberty
    JVMSERVER using the cicsts:link-1.0 feature.

    If too much work arrives into CICS causing a backlog of
    processing in the Liberty JVMSERVER a
    RetryableUnavailableException can occur.

    This causes all subsequent EXEC CICS LINKs to programs in the
    Liberty JVMSERVER to fail with PGMIDERR and RESP2 of 27.

Problem conclusion

  • The cicsts:link-1.0 feature has been updated to better handle
    the processing of work and ensure the feature does not stop
    in this scenario.
