• A new custom gauge metric provided by the metrics.ear
  application should return the amount of time each server takes t

  The /metrics endpoint provided by the metrics.ear application
  can
  timeout/take a long time to return, depending on the time it
  takes
  for each individual server to report back with its own metrics.
  We
  need the /metrics endpoint to add its own Prometheus metrics
  (was_scrape_duration_seconds) to indicate how long those
  individual
  server responses take. This will allow better visibility into
  whether or not there are one or more particularly slow servers
  that
  are slowing everything down.
  A new custom gauge metric is being provided by the metrics.ear
  application that returns the amount of time each server takes
  to scrape and return its metrics.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code was updated to include the new metric.
  
  The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
  8.5.5.21 and 9.0.5.9.. For more information, see 'Recommended
