  • APPLICATION EDITION MANAGEMENT FEATURE FAILS TO CLEAN UP
ADMIN SESSIONS IN THE DEPLOYMENT MANAGER WSTEMP DIRECTORY

Local fix

  • With the Deployment Manager stopped, manually delete all of the
ProcessServerMVSServices and appmgmt directories within the
/profiles/default/wstemp directory.

Some of the Admin sessions created by Application Edition
Management during the rollout of new application edition are not
cleaned up from deployment manager's (dmgr) wstemp directory.
There may be directories in wstemp with appmgmt prefix and
ProcessServerMVSServices (on zOS) prefix that are not cleaned
up.

Problem conclusion

  • Code changes were made to verify Admin sessions created during
the rollout of a new edition of an application are properly
cleaned up from deployment manager's wstemp directory.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
packs 9.0.5.10 and 8.5.5.21.  Please refer to the Recommended
Updates page for delivery information:

Temporary fix

  • Following the completion of rollout of new edition of an
application, the user can delete directories with appmgmt prefix
and ProcessServerMVSServices (on zOS) prefix in the deployment
manager's wstemp folder
