    *                      platforms.                              *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Observed on Aix with a customer who had automated server-status
    requests. Once the race condition occurs the request threads
    were seen to loop and consume cpu. Further requests for server-
    status are not completed.
    Hang mustgather will show threads with
    '<odrGetStateInfo<ws_odrGetStateInfo<websphere_status_hook' in
    the stacks.

Problem conclusion

  • A small timing window has been closed, preventing the race
    condition.
