PH36836: PROP OF TRANS PRO IN COLUMN MAPS PROCESSED INCORRECTLY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer is processing IMS data using a Column Map (CM) which
  specifies a PROP of TRANS PRO=...expression.
  Optim does not recognize the presence of the PROP or issues the
  following message:
  
  "Destination Column <column> in Table <table> is NOT Insertable
  or Must Receive Value."
  
  In some scenarios Optim generates the BATCH CONVERT JCL which,
  when executed with an EXTRACT file holding related IMS tables
  and using CMs with PROP, may cause the destination tables in the
  converted files be empty with no rows.
  
  In addition, the following ABEND S0C4 may be generated while
  processing complex PROPagation sets:
  
  CEE3204S The system detected a protection exception
           (System Completion Code=0C4).
           From entry point DPSetValidate at statement 4169 at
           compile unit offset +000011BE at entry offset +000011BE
           at address 152736AE.

  Optim is incorrectly analyzing the expression to be propagated.
  Optim PROP processing logic is incorrectly processing IMS tables
  in certain scenarios leading to errors and abends.
  

Problem conclusion

• Optim PROP processing will be corrected.
