APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When client installed web server plugin, the following files
    were created under "C:\IBM\WebSphere\Plugins\logs\config\" .
    
    ?c
    onfigure_IHS_webserver.log
    ?findIHSRoot.log
    ?installApachePlugin
    .log
    
    installIHSPlugin.log should have been created instead of
    findIHSRoot.log.
    I asked L3 in TS005456560 and confirmed this
    should be fixed.
    Please address this problem.

    During the Plugin configuration process, extraneous log files
    are generated for internal use, but are not cleaned up.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The ANT script that generates these files have been updated to
    clean up unneeded files.
    
    The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
    9.0.5.9. For more information, see 'Recommended Updates for
    WebSphere Application Server':
