  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Beginning in 9.0.5.4 fix pack, the Qshell command line remains
hidden after being prompted for a password for authentication
when stopping an application server, connecting to wsadmin via
SOAP, etc. After the password is entered and ENTER is pressed,
the Qshell command line remains hidden instead of changing back
to normal mode. This causes any characters to remain hidden on
the command line and not visible when typing.

Local fix

  • Use the -username and -password options on the command line
instead of having it prompt for a password or rollback to WAS
    fix pack to 9.0.5.3.

remain hidden on the command line until the QSHELL session is
exited (F3). This issue only affects the user's current QSHELL
session. Closing the affected QSHELL session and opening a new
one causes QSHELL to behave normally again.
