Error description

  • Using the ?f option will ensure that the selection criteria
    specified in the SQL statement of the report bundle definition
    is found in the available report before creating the report
    bundle processing request.

    However, If an ODF bundle with
    Report Build=Query has an invalid DB2 query that causes a DB2
    error, then the ARSODF STC will end.

    For example, if the
    bundle query is

    WHERE INDEX01 = '11'

    but INDEX01 does not
    exist in the application group associated with the bundle then
    the following errors maybe seen in ARSODF STC output:

    ARS0013E
    DB Error: {DB2 FOR OS/390}{ODBC DRIVER} SQLSTATE=HY010
    ERRLOC=7:33:4 -- SQLSTATE=HY010, SQLCODE=-99999,
    File=arsodfdb.c,

    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ODF is shutting down when the -f *
    * parameter is used and an invalid sql *
    * statement is specified in the report *
    *                      bundle definition.                      *
    ****************************************************************
    ODF is issuing a commit during the sql precheck processing and
    losing its cursor position causing an sql error that terminates
    ODF.

Problem conclusion

  • ODF is modified to not issue the commit and maintain the
    correct cursor position.
