Error description

  • A subscription may start from a much earlier position in the
log than is warranted for the work that was ongoing when it
previously ended. Some of the precursor conditions for this
    problem are:

    1) A long running UR was not yet COMMITted when
    the subscription ended.

    2) The subscription failed due to
insufficient resources for the Staging Space when processing
    large URs.

The Staging Space Report may show a large number of
URs in NDPH2 disposition state. The subscription may restart
with scraping from the point of the most recent refresh.

The calculation of the number of completed URs is flawed, when
there are completed URs the count is incorrectly set to zero.
This causes completed URs to queue up. If the subscription fails
it may (re)start at a much earlier position in the log.

Problem conclusion

  • Modified the logic for calculating the number of completed URs.
