PH35599: OOM IN JSPBATCHCOMPILER.SH

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• While deploying a new application, the batch job ended
  unexpectedly. The shell script JspBatchCompiler.sh encountered
  an exception "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space."
  

Local fix

• make a local copy of JspBatchCompiler.sh and change the hard
  coded -Xmx256m to something larger, such as -Xmx1024m

  There is no command option to change the heap size, therefore
  the default max heap will be changed to 1024M.
  

Problem conclusion

• Max heap size used by JspBatchCompiler is increased to 1024M.
  JspBatchCompiler is a non serviceable file, which means it
  isn't replaced directly by this fix.  Instead, there is a
  post-install action that will edit your existing
  JspBatchCompiler to change the max heap size.
  
  The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
  8.5.5.21 and 9.0.5.10. For more information, see 'Recommended
