  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After GDPS GM V4R2 to V4R3 upgrade, installations with topology
GM2SITE may observe SDF alert 'GEO3200E SECONDARY VOLUMES
CAN NOT BE RECOVERED' until a Monitor3 is run.

Local fix

  • GEO3200E message will be removed and no longer issued after
    successful Monitor3.

    ****************************************************************
In GDPS GM with topology setting GM2SITE, a variable set by
Monitor3 is used to determine if the configuration is
recoverable or not. Monitor3 is run asynchronously from the Kr
system config process. In large configurations the variable
might be set later than the check for recoverable configuration.
When that occurs, a GEO3200E SECONDARY VOLUMES CAN NOT BE
RECOVERED SDF alert is incorrectly issued.

Problem conclusion

  • This PTF fixes the reported problem. GDPS is changed to set the
variable indicating if the config is recoverable or not during
the Kr system config process instead of Monitor3.
