Error description

  • ABEND0C9 in IWXCTRXF caused by fixed point divide exception when
attempting to calculate path routing indices, that is when WLR
is figuring out which path to use based on GOALS when values
    such as:
    - Total number of transactions processed: 4,294,888,843
    and
    - Number of transactions processed by the LOCAL/IMSG path:
      4,126,489,049
    are encountered.

Local fix

  • Issue the /FORMAT IWXADM LEVEL command to zero out these
counters until a PTF is available to fix this problem.

    ****************************************************************
ABEND0C9 in IWXCTRXF caused by fixed point divide exception when
attempting to calculate path routing indices, that is when IMS
Workload Router is figuring out which path to use based on GOALS
    when values such as:
    - Total number of transactions processed: 4,294,888,843
    and
    - Number of transactions processed by the LOCAL/IMSG path:
      4,126,489,049
    are encountered.
This problem has been resolved by APAR PI25916, but the IMS V14
and IMS V15 modules in IMS Workload Router do not have the fix
    for it yet.

Problem conclusion

  • IMS Workload Router has been changed to reset the transaction
counters when they are about to exceed 2,147,483,647
    (x'7FFFFFFF').
At that time, the system messages IWX601I and IWX607I are
    issued.
This fix is forward fit of PI25916 for IMS V14 and IMS V15
    modules in IMS Workload Router.
