PH35127: ABEND0C4 OCCURRED WHEN THE CATALOG MANAGER PROCESSES GSAMS IN THE IMS DIRECTORY

Error description

• The Catalog Manager utility may cause ABEND0C4 when it processes
  a GSAM DBD in the IMS directory and a GSAM DBD is populated
  with some condition. When the GSAM DBD is populated to the IMS
  directory, the IMS Catalog Populate utility uses a GSAM DBD in a
   DBDLIB. If the GSAM DBD in the DBDLIB is generated in IMS V11
  or earlier IMS version, the Catalog Manager utility may cause
  ABEND. The structure of GSAM DBD in DBDLIB which is generated in
   IMS V11 or earlier version is different from GSAM DBD which is
  generated in IMS V12 or later. The Catalog Manager missed to
  check the structure and it causes ABEND.

  *                      GSAM DBD in the IMS directory and       *
  *                      original GSAM DBD which was used to     *
  *                      create IMS directory was generated by   *
  *                      IMS V11 or earlier version.             *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
  ****************************************************************
  This APAR fixes the Catalog Manager utility not to cause
  ABEND0C4 when it compares or converts a GSAM DBD in the IMS
  directory and GSAM DBD was generated in some condition.
  
  Though DBD generated by IMS V1.3 or later has the section
  DBDXTAB, DBD generated by IMS V1.2 or earlier version does not
  have the section.
  Also, though DBD generated by IMS V12 or later has the section
  DXVECTAB, DBD generated by IMS V11 or earlier version does not
  have the section.
  
  GSAM DBD created in the IMS directory has same structure as GSAM
  DBD in a DBDLIB. So the Catalog Manager utility should skip
  these section when it compares or converts such a GSAM DBD in
  the IMS directory.
  
  This APAR fixed the Catalog Manager utility not to access
  DBDXTAB or DXVECTAB when it processes a GSAM DBD in the IMS
  directory and the GSAM DBD was populated with a GSAM DBD which
  was generated by earlier IMS version.
  

Problem conclusion

• The following modules have been changed to fix the above
  problem:
   FABXCATM,FABLACB0,FABLADP0,FABNACB0
