PH35109: DB2 OBJECT COMPARE REPLACING MASK DATASET WITH EXISTING CM MASK ON PANEL GOC3 SEVERE ERROR ADB7955E ADBM010E

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If Object Compare panel GOC3 ('Specify Compare Masks') already
  contains a mask dataset, you can clear out the dataset and
  lookup and then select an existing CM mask on panel ADB2C21.
  After selecting the mask and hitting enter, you are
  taken back to the main Compare menu (GOCMENU).  However, if
  you then proceed to generate the JCL, it will contain both the
  CM mask and the mask dataset (the latter reappears on panel
  GOC3).  Running the job with both masks listed may then result
  in the following error messages:
  
  
  ADB7955E ADBM010E - No delimiting ":" found in masks file record
  ADB7380E Module ADB2CMP - Severe error Compare  has been
  stopped.

  When a user specifies a mask on panel GOC3, Mask Table Entry and
  Data Set are mutually exclusive. If a user previously set
  Data Set, and later returns to the panel and attempts to change
  to Mask Table Entry by using look up, the Mask DSN value might
  be incorrectly retained in the background.
  
  Subsequently returning to the panel shows that both fields are
  incorrectly populated.   Furthermore, if one does not return to
  the panel and proceeds to generate and run the JCL, the Compare
  job may fail with the following error:
  
  ADB7955E ADBM010E - No delimiting ":" found in masks file record
  ADB7380E Module ADB2CMP - Severe error Compare  has been
  stopped.
