PH35086: ABENDS0C4 IF THE UNLOADED DATA SET ON TAPE REQUIRES MORE THAN 5 VOLUMES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• An unload requesting the unloaded data to be stored on tape
  fails with an ABENDS0C4.
  
  Some of the following messages from the LE may also be issued
  when the issue occurs:
  
  CEE3204S The system detected a protection exception (System
  Completion Code=0C4)

  The dataset allocated under the $OTMPL diagnosis DD name, if
  any, if allocated, has the following last line :
  pjfcbx SVA in 0xnn
  
  The issue can occur only when the following conditions are
  fulfilled:
  - the output data set meant for the unloaded data to be stored
  on tape spreads over more than 5 volumes.
  - the memory at a given address that has unduly not been
  initialized does not contain low values (i.e. 0x00),
  
  The latter condition cannot be predicted.
