This APAR provides enhancements on the z/OSMF desktop user interface to a. Allow Incident Log users to use the desktop editor to open a diagnostic data set in addition to the ISPF task. b. Show data sets, data set members, USS files and directories as links in the desktop editor, which can be opened in a separate window. 2. Supports changing the password from the z/OSMF log-on page when the password is expired if the option "Display error details if the login attempt fails" in the General Settings task is checked. 3. Enhances the Authenticate REST services to a. Report if a password is expired, or a user ID is revoked. b. provide a new REST service to change the password. HTTP method and URI path for change password: PUT /zosmf/services/authenticate Standard headers Use the following standard HTTP header with this request: Content-Type: application/json Customer headers X-CSRF-ZOSMF-HEADER This header is required for both browsers and non-browser applications. Set the header to any value or an empty string (""). Request body The request content is expected to contain a JSON object.
