APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If S-TAP or QM is cancelled immediately after startup
(e.g. within 5 seconds,) the common collector
can reference the prior incidence of S-TAP/QM

Local fix

  • The workaround is not to cancel the started task until it's
    fully initialized

ABEND DC2-0F9 in CQC#REST when attempting to detach a memory
object that was not allocated due to an early termination of
the Query Monitor or Security Guardium S-TAP initialization
    process.

Problem conclusion

  • If Query Monitor or Security Guardium S-TAP were cancelled
immediately after startup, the next start picked up references
to the prior instance of Query Monitor or Security Guardium
S-TAP. The logic was corrected to avoid picking up memory
    references from prior executions.
