APAR status

Error description

  • When a server is defined using an ipv6 address only, the http
and https advisors receive a '400 - bad request' response from
web servers.

*                      IPv6 address.                           *

The http and https advisors send the server ID in the Host
request header. When a server is defined using an ipv6
address, the address needs to be enclosed in brackets [ ].

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The advisor code was corrected to enclose ipv6 addresses in
brackets when used in the advisor requests.
