PH34294: DATASOURCE URL PROPERTY SYNTAX VALIDATION DOESN'T ALLOW NEW FORMAT IN ADMIN CONSOLE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The admin console field validation for URL property in a
  datasource configuration is too strict that new URL syntax are
  not allowed.
  For instance, the customer wants to use Oracle
  Wallet, and Oracle doc says user should modify the URL string
  like 'jdbc:oracle:thin:/@mydburl:1234/mydb'. But when we tried
  to change URL in that format, the admin console validation
  doesn't allow it to be saved, saying it's invalid format.

Problem conclusion

• The console was modified to allow more URLs so that when
  Oracle adds new ones, the code won't need to be changed again.
  
  The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
  8.5.5.20, 9.0.5.8.
