Error description

  • 1.The bitmap CI for HDAM (VSAM and OSAM) in the Root Addressable
Area was not properly formatted after a recovery for the second
    and subsequent bitmaps.
2.For a PITR recovery, the CI close record may not be included.
Therefore, SDEP CI was incompletely Closed.
3.When VSAM ESDS is blocked, the correct RBA of the next data
set record could not be obtained.
4.When an OLR recovery, a CI=0 is not logged. Therefore, the
CI=0 was never written out to PHDAM(VSAM).
5.If the RBA of the last record applied is not one smaller than
the RBA of the next log record, the HDAM(VSAM) database record
    was not recover correctly.

    1. The bitmap CI for HDAM (VSAM and OSAM) in the Root

for the second and subsequent bitmaps.
    2. For a PITR recovery, the CI close record may not be included,
Therefore, SDEP CI was incompletely Closed.
    3. When VSAM ESDS is blocked, the correct RBA of the next data
set record could not be obtained.
    4. When an OLR recovery, a CI=0 is not logged. Therefore, the
CI=0 was never written out to HALDB(VSAM).
    5. If the RBA of the last record applied is not one smaller than
the RBA of the next log record, the HDAM(VSAM) dataset record
    was not recover correctly.

Problem conclusion

  • 1.HDAM VSAM bitmaps are now properly formatted for multiple
bitmaps, when the input Image copy does not have the entire RAA
    formatted.
2.SDEP CI's FSOF is now properly formatted, when the PITR
    option is specified.
    3.Support ESDS with blocked records.
4.When an OLR recovery, a dummy record is written for CI=0.
5.HDAM(VSAM) dataset record is recover correctly, because dummy
records are written for CI, when the RBA of the last record
applied is not one smaller than the RBA of the next log record.
