• Db2 Admin Tool: Pending change not handled by reorg before ALTER
  TABLE is executed.  SQLCODE -20385
  
  For example
  
  An alter to change a bufferpool may create a pending change.
  If there is a subsequent change to the object, before a
  REORG, ALTER TABLE ADD VERSIONING for example, an SQLCODE -20385
  may occur.

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of Db2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS *
  *                 who add table versioning and alter the index *
  *                 buffer pools in the same change.             *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Running a change to alter an index      *
  *                      buffer pool size and add versioning     *
  *                      to a related table results in           *
  *                      SQLCODE -20385. This is a result of     *
  *                      Object Compare generating the REORG     *
  *                      operation at the end of the WSL instead *
  *                      of inline, after the ALTER INDEX        *
  *                      BUFFERPOOL statement.                   *

  When a change includes both altering indexes to change the
  buffer pool size and adding versioning to a table in the same
  affected table space, the REORG operation for the index is
  mistakenly run after the table is altered. This sequence of
  actions leaves the table space in a REORG-pending state. As a
  result, running the change fails on the ALTER TABLE ADD
  VERSIONING statement with the following error:
  
  ADB7955E SQL error: ADB7955E DSNT408I SQLCODE = -20385,
  ERROR: THE STATEMENT CANNOT BE PROCESSED BECAUSE ADB7955E THERE
  ARE PENDING DEFINITION CHANGES FOR OBJECT <dbname>.<tsname> OF
  ADB7955E TYPE TABLESPACE (REASON 2)
