  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When generating jobs for catalog copy, and selecting Type C and
    Catalog Copy Method L, the load statements for the tables of a
    multi-table table space are listed incorrectly. This results in
    incorrect generation of RESUME YES versus NO clauses.

    For tables within a multi-table table space, the first table
    should have a load statement generated with RESUME NO REPLACE,
    and the remaining should have RESUME YES.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When loading from a cursor, statements *
    *                      for tables in a multi-table table space *
    * are listed incorrectly, causing the *
    * catalog copy size to unexpectedly *
    *                      increase.                               *
    ****************************************************************
    During catalog copy, when loading from a cursor, the statements
    are sorted by table name. For tables within a multi-table table
    space, their corresponding LOAD statement might therefore be
    generated with incorrect RESUME and REPLACE parameters.

    These statements could lead to inefficient use of space,
    depending on the table names. The fix in this scenario is to
    sort first by table space name, and then by table name.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem has been resolved.
