PH33542: DRF ICR JOB ISSUES MSGFRD6144E ERRONEOUSLY AFTER MSGFRD6022A ISSUED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When running DRF with the OUTPUT (ICR) option to create an
  incremental image copy as a concurrent IC, if the last
  incremental image copy of the DBDS is the concurrent IC and
  there is no log dataset (SLDS) to apply thereafter, DRF issues
  MSGFRD6022A (reason = IMAGE COPY ALREADY TAKEN).
  However, if the DBDS is a HALDB partition, MSGFRD6144E is also
  issued erroneously.

  When running DRF with the OUTPUT (ICR) option to create an
  incremental image copy as a concurrent IC, if the last
  incremental image copy of the DBDS is the concurrent IC and
  there is no log dataset (SLDS) to apply thereafter, DRF issues
  MSGFRD6022A (reason = IMAGE COPY ALREADY TAKEN).
  However, if the DBDS is a HALDB partition, MSGFRD6144E is also
  issued erroneously.
  The cause is that the DBD required for the subsequent IC
  processing is read from the DBD library, even for the DBDS
  that is in the error status with the MSGFRD6022A.
  

Problem conclusion

• FRXVSTA3 is modified so that bypass the process of reading the
  DBD from the DBD library for the DBDS that is in the error
  status with the MSGFRD6022A.
