When fetching rows from Db2 LUW server, the query blocks
returned can contain a partial row at the end so as to
completely fill the query block to the desired query block
size. Since the query blocks can be chained, partial row can
occur in any of the block(s).
Db2 z/OS requester incorrectly assumed that the partial row can
only occur in last query block in the chain. Parsing problem
due to the incorrect assumption led to the reported conditions.

Problem conclusion

  • Db2 z/OS requester code has been changed to account for partial
row returned in a query block from Db2 LUW server.

Temporary fix
