Error description

  • If a workflow is configured with a schedule, exporting the
workflow will also contain the export of the schedule.
However, when attempting to migrate changes for the workflow,
the import will fail with error:

    com.ibm.openpages.api.scheduler.SchedulerException: OP-60509:
The job name is not unique.

    Prerequisites:
Create a sample workflow which contains a schedule
    1.	Login to the OpenPages UI as OpenPagesAdministrator
    2.	Navigate to Solution Configuration -> Workflows
    3.	Select any custom workflow or create a new workflow per the
    documentation
    (https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSFUEU_8.2.0/op_grc
    _admin/c_adm_configuring_workflow_overview.html)
    4.	Under Workflow Properties, click Edit across from Scheduled
    Start
    5.	Enter a name for the schedule, set Repeat to Daily, then
    click Done
    6.	Click Publish if necessary
    7.	Navigate to Solution Configuration -> Schedules and confirm
    the Job was created
    8.	Tick the new schedule and make sure it is disabled
    9.	Switch to Standard UI
    10.	Navigate to Administration -> Export Configuration
    11.	Tick Export Local Configuration and click Submit
    12.	Change the type to Workflows, then on the right, expand the
object type of your workflow and tick the workflow from above,
    then click Save Migration File
    13.	Once complete, save the exported file locally

    Steps to Reproduce:
    1.	Login to the OpenPages UI as OpenPagesAdministrator
    2.	Switch to the Standard UI
    3.	Navigate to Administration -> Import Configuration
    4.	Tick Local Disk and select the file that was saved from
    above, then click Submit
    5.	Note on the left, this contains the Workflow and the Job
    6.	Click Import and confirm it fails
    7.	NOTE: It looks like this failed import actually deletes the
schedule, so repeating the import steps seems to succeed the
    next time.

    Expected Results:
A workflow with a schedule should be able to be exported and
    imported again for migration purposes

    Actual Results:
Attempting to import a workflow with a schedule to a server that
already has the same workflow and schedule will fail.

    Error Message:
    com.ibm.openpages.api.scheduler.SchedulerException: OP-60509:
The job name is not unique.

Local fix

  • Repeat the import a second time seems to work as the first
attempt looks like it will delete the existing schedule.

Problem conclusion

  • We made a change to ensure exported disabled jobs can be
properly imported by including disabled jobs when querying for
    jobs by name.
