  *                 ZONEDATA(NOPFD) or ZONEDATA(MIG) compiler    *
  *                 options and where the programs contain MOVE  *
  *                 statements that satisfy the following        *
  *                 conditions:                                  *
  *                 1. the sender in the statement is a zoned    *
  *                 decimal data item                            *
  *                 2. the receiver is an unsigned zoned data    *
  *                 item or an alphanumeric data item            *
  *                 3. if the sender is signed, then it is       *
  *                 signed trailing overpunch.                   *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: INCORRECT RESULTS: Different results    *
  *                      for invalid data for similar programs   *
  *                      compiled with the Enterprise COBOL V42  *
  *                      and earlier compilers.                  *

  The code generated for zoned decimal moves, while functionally
  correct, would also frequently have the effect of fixing bad
  zones and bad sign nibbles before storing them in the receiver.
  

Problem conclusion

• The compiler was updated so that for the zoned decimal moves in
  question, invalid zoned and sign nibbles (signed trailing
  overpunch only) are propagated to the receiver during MOVE
  operations.
