Error description

  • Multiple DB2 clients can be set up on the reporting server, one
    for OpenPages and one for Cognos.
    During installation, when entering the installer properties for
    the reporting server, the DB2 directory for the Cognos instance
    for the "DB Client Directory" should be the OpenPages one.
    If the Cognos instance is entered, this will cause the reporting
    framework generation to fail, since it should be pointing to the
    OpenPages instance.
    This is not clear in the documentation.

Problem conclusion

  • We updated our documentation in the Configuring reporting
    servers section.  We added clarity that the client directory
    used for the OpenPages database should be provided in the
    install properties.
    
    Customers should download OpenPages with Watson 8.2 Fix Pack 2
    (8.2.0.2). See the following document for details on obtaining
    OpenPages 8.2.0.2:
