Error description

  • EXEC CPSM RECIEVE fails to retrieve all events when multiple
    events are available at receive time.
    This happens in a batch environment connecting to an online
    CMAS.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

    *                 UI71963 applied.                             *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When using the BATCH API to RECEIVE     *
    *                      notification of events some events may  *
    *                      not be returned in a timely manner.     *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the fixing PTF. Batch jobs will pick   *
    *                 up the fix when next run.                    *
    ****************************************************************
    When using the CICSPlex SM API RECEIVE command in a batch
    environment to get event notifications some events may be
    missed if multiple events happen before the batch process
    can read them in a timely manner.
    

Problem conclusion

    The above PTFs introduce this error and are fixed by the PTFs
    for this APAR. EYU0ABAG has been updated to ensure that the
    ready ECB is not cleared while there remains output ready to be
    received.
