APAR status

Error description

  • Subject: Attempting to launch Compliance Theme results in error,
    immediately after a services restart.
    
    Description:
    
    Opening any Compliance Theme object and attempting to launch
    gives a ?config not valid? error.
    
    
    Workaround:
    
    Access the Theme Deployer config page, resave the theme.
    
    Prerequisites:
    
    1.	Log into OpenPages 8.2 using a supported browser.
    2.	Add a Compliance Theme object
    {Fill all required fields}.
    3.	Add some Requirements/Obligations to the Object.
    
    
    Steps to Reproduce:
    
    1.	Restart all OpenPages services.
    2.	From TFUI, open the Compliance Theme Object created in 2.
    3.	Under the General tab, click Launch.
    
    Expected Results:
    
    Theme Deployer should launch.
    
    
    
    
    Actual Results:
    
    Error [500] ?config not valid?.

    Access the Theme Deployer config page, resave the theme.

Problem conclusion

  • We had to make a change to the way information was written to
    the cache and retrieved from cache.
    
    Note:  This is fixed in our 8.2 Interim Fix 4 release, and will
    also be fixed in an upcoming fixpack.
    
    Customers should download OpenPages 8.2.0.0 Interim Fix 4 from
    Passport Advantage. See the following document for details on
    obtaining OpenPages 8.2.0.0 Interim Fix 4:
