Error description

• ABEND04E RC00E70100 on DSNXIDPT happened during REORG if the
  below conditions are all true:
  1) REORG runs against a PBG tablespace which has no table
  defined in it
  2) The PBG has more than 1 trailing empty partitions
  3) REORG is going to remove the trailing empty partitions which
  can be triggered by REORG option DROP_PART YES , or zPARM
  REORG_DROP_PBG_PARTS=ENABLE

Local fix

• BYPASS/CIRCUMVENTION:
  Disallow REORG to remove trailing empty PBG partition by setting
  REORG option DROP_PART NO , or zPARM
  REORG_DROP_PBG_PARTS=DISABLE

  Users who run a REORG may encounter ABEND04E RC00E70100 at
  DSNXIDPT P006 if the following conditions are met:
   1. REORG is run on a partition-by-growth table space which has
      no table defined in it.
   2. The partition-by-growth table space has more than one
      trailing empty partition.
   3. REORG option DROP_PART YES is specified, or zPARM
      REORG_DROP_PBG_PARTS is enabled.
  

Problem conclusion

• Db2 is modified to properly drop empty trailing partitions of a
  partition-by-growth table space with no table defined in it.
