Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All IMS Recovery Solution Pack for z/OS * * Version 2 Release 1 ( FMID=HAHM210 ) * * IMS Database Recovery Facility users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR enables IMS Database Recovery * * Facility to support OSAM encryption. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF * **************************************************************** IMS Database Recovery Facility provides the following support for OSAM encryption. IMS Database Recovery Facility supports the z/OS data set encryption for the IMS OSAM database (*1,*2) *1:In the following cases, IMS Database Recovery Facility can take over the key label and encrypt the newly defined database data set with it. - When the production database data set is defined by specifying DATACLAS with an associated key label. - When the SMS data class with an associated key label is specified in the DBDSLnnn DATAC control statement. - When DISP(PDS) is specified in the DBDSLnnn control statement, and IDCAMS define statement for the new database data set in the DDEFPDS library has KEYLABEL or DATACLAS with an associated key label. *2:The use of user-image copies, IC2, SAMEDS ICs, or FlashCopies are not supported. The PTF for the following IMS APAR is required to use the new functions: - PH27729: IMS Version 15 If you want to create a new image copy dataset for an OSAM encrypted database in DRF, the PTF for the following APAR is required: - PH31513: IMS HP Image Copy for z/OS Version 4 Release 2 If you want to do hash pointer checking in DRF, the PTF for the following APAR is required: - PH24727: IMS HP Pointer Checker for z/OS Version 3 Release 1 Otherwise, it causes the following symptoms: - IMS HP Pointer Checker (HPPC) exits with a number of unexpected error messages about the OSAM encrypted database. - Incorrect values for physical blocks per track are reported in the HPPC validation report. Therefore, if this APAR is not applicable, run DRF with hash pointer checking disabled for recovered databases (without specifying the PC keyword in the ADD command).
