Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of Db2 Administration Tool for z/OS * * and Db2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR provides enhancements to * * support the following new Db2 V12 * * object attributes: * * * * 1) Table space attributes * * (in SYSIBM.SYSTABLESPACE): * * PQTY, SECQTYI, STORTYPE, STORNAME, * * VCATNAME, FREEPAGE, COMPRESS, * * GBPCACHE and TRACKMOD * * * * 2) Index attributes * * (in SYSIBM.SYSINDEXES): * * PQTY, SECQTYI, STORTYPE, STORNAME, * * VCATNAME, FREEPAGE, PCTFREE and * * GBPCACHE * **************************************************************** The following components are enhanced to support these new attributes: 1.DDL Reader: The DDL Reader function has been enhanced to handle the following new fields: PQTY, SECQTYI, STORTYPE, STORNAME, VCATNAME, FREEPAGE, COMPRESS, GBPCACHE and TRACKMOD at the table space level. PQTY, SECQTYI, STORTYPE, STORNAME, VCATNAME, FREEPAGE, PCTFREE and GBPCACHE at the index level. 2.GEN: The GEN function has been enhanced to handle the following new fields and values: PQTY, SECQTYI, STORTYPE, STORNAME, VCATNAME, FREEPAGE, COMPRESS, GBPCACHE and TRACKMOD at the table space level. PQTY, SECQTYI, STORTYPE, STORNAME, VCATNAME, FREEPAGE, PCTFREE and GBPCACHE at the indexes level. Null values in the fields of migrated table spaces and indexes. 3.Masking: Masking has been enhanced to support masking the following new fields: PQTY, SECQTYI, STORTYPE, STORNAME, VCATNAME, FREEPAGE, COMPRESS, GBPCACHE and TRACKMOD at the table space level. PQTY, SECQTYI, STORTYPE, STORNAME, VCATNAME, FREEPAGE, PCTFREE and GBPCACHE at the index level. 4. Compare: Table spaces: Object Compare now supports comparing the new fields PQTY, SECQTYI, STORTYPE, STORNAME, VCATNAME, FREEPAGE, COMPRESS, GBPCACHE and TRACKMOD at the table space level (SYSIBM.SYSTABLESPACE). If the source is a Db2 V12 table space (or the DDL equivalent to creating a Db2 V12 table space), and the target is the migrated pre-Db2 V12 table space, and the new fields values differ between the source and target SYSTABLESPACE, a change statement will be generated to change the new fields in SYSTABLESPACE from NULL to the source values. Changes to SYSTABLEPART parameters for the new fields will continue as normal. If the source is a migrated pre-Db2 V12 table space and the target is a Db2 V12 table space, no change is generated for the new fields in SYSTABLESPACE, because the target values will not be changed to NULL. If the partition-level new field values (SYSTABLEPART) are the same as the SYSTABLESPACE new field values, Object Compare will not generate unnecessary change statements for the partition level, because it inherits the values from SYSTABLESPACE level by default. Indexes: Object Compare now supports comparing the new fields PQTY, SECQTYI, STORTYPE, STORNAME, VCATNAME, FREEPAGE, PCTFREE and GBPCACHE at the index level (SYSIBM.SYSINDEXES). For partitioned indexes, if the source is a Db2 V12 index (or the DDL equivalent to creating a Db2 V12 index) , and the target is the migrated pre-Db2 V12 index, and the new fields values differ between the source and target SYSINDEXES, a change statement will be generated to change the new fields values in SYSINDEXES from NULL to the source values. Changes to SYSINDEXPART parameters for the new fields will continue as normal. If the source is the migrated pre-Db2 V12 index and the target is a Db2 V12 index, no change is generated for the new fields in SYSINDEXES, because the target values will not be changed to NULL. If the partition-level new fields values (SYSINDEXPART) are the same as the SYSINDEXES new field values, Object Compare will not generate unnecessary change statements for the partition level, because it inherits the values from SYSINDEXES level by default.
